Campaign Promise

As your representative, I promise to represent you as an individual. I guarantee my pledge in the way I conduct my campaign. I am the only candidate who has completely refused special interest campaign contributions. I run on popular support and signatures only.  Sadly, for too long our country has fostered a system that encourages candidates to “make a business” of their campaigns. As a result, the people as individuals have been left out of the representative process. This campaign will not be a business in its own right, but will focus on what the people desire to change.

For our district, I would suggest that we need a conservative economic plan that conserves our resources and utilizes the assets of our local economy and the talent of the people in the district, to preserve and maintain healthy financial relationships within and across communities. For example, a major collaborative investment like an electric high-speed rail shuttle to help develop transportation technology in the North Florida area would promote the many economic ventures already in District Two and in the surrounding area.

We are proud of District Two’s beautiful land, parks and nature trails and showcase farms capable of becoming ecologically sustainable. District Two’s renowned sport and commercial fishing and historical sites are appreciated by visitors and the hard working citizens living here. In addition, we have many higher learning educational institutions and a military base. This generous economic foundation working together with the small business and family farmers and federal investment would establish a zone of prosperity in North Florida and the region.

Economic prosperity and tax relief are achievable if our goals are consistent with the economic model of free enterprise and investment, allowing the people in the district to benefit from job creation and opportunity. Key public infrastructure investments generate economic opportunities and relieve the tax burden. The national government must invest in public enterprises which promote independent opportunity of individuals in the district’s economy.

I give you my word to always vote to protect the hard earned money tax payers send to Washington DC for the benefit of all the citizens in the district. Our taxes should not fund special interest legislation, creating dependency on our government for people and businesses through regulation.
